Axiom Materials, a Toray Advanced Composites company, manufactures qualified prepreg and resin systems for aerospace, defense, and space programs. Bluvium partnered with their digitalization team to transform quoting and order accuracy on Salesforce CPQ.
Axiom Materials sells highly engineered composite materials into programs where part numbers, qualifications, lot sizes, and customer-specific specifications drive pricing. Quotes were prepared manually, requiring back-and-forth between sales, engineering, and operations to confirm product configurations and pricing. The process was slow, error-prone, and didn't scale with growing demand from aerospace and defense customers.
Aerospace composite quoting carries unusual constraints: qualified product lists per program, customer-specific tolerances, batch-and-lot pricing, MOQ rules, and downstream order accuracy requirements that flow directly into manufacturing. A mispriced or misconfigured quote doesn't just cost margin — it can disrupt production planning and customer commitments on programs where delivery slips have real consequences.
The team needed a system that could enforce product and pricing rules at the point of quoting, eliminate manual handoffs between sales and operations, and produce orders that flowed cleanly into manufacturing without rework.
"Our team successfully implemented Salesforce CPQ, transforming our sales process and significantly improving operational performance and efficiency. I'd like to extend a special thank you to our solution partner, Bluvium, for their expertise and support throughout the implementation process. Their collaboration was instrumental in our success." — Alper Ornek, Digitalization Manager, Axiom Materials
